For those looking to get into the sport of IGP / Schutzhund, find a club and get involved.  The sport is very overwhelming, and having a good support system in place will help you as you train.  Ask questions.  Come to training prepared to learn and to work hard.  

 

Most clubs will want to get to know you first before you bring out your dog.   Take this time to get to know the club members.  Training for this sport is not like attending a typical obedience class.  Make sure you are prepared for the demands of the sport and the travel to attend club each week.
